Johnson has been painting professionally since 1996, exhibiting extensively across the country and earning numerous awards throughout her career. Influenced by her studies in Japan, her work reflects an ethos of balance, fearlessness, strength, and optimism, principles that guide both her life and her artistic practice.

Spirit made manifest

Her new series continues her exploration of what she describes as “spirit made manifest,” seeking to transform inner energy and emotion into visible form. Working intuitively with brushes, fingers, brayers, and squeegees on canvas and Yupo paper, she builds luminous layers of color that appear to radiate from within. Each composition captures a moment of movement and resolution, inviting viewers into a space of vitality, harmony, and reflection.
